Rajiv Prasad, son of noted cinematographer RNK Prasad, is wielding the megaphone for the first time after getting trained under ace filmmaker Suresh Krishna. For his debut film Sathuran, he has taken up sensitive subject of a medical fraud based on a real life incident.

While Rajaji of Moodar Koodam fame plays the male lead, Varsha debuts as the heroine. Talking about his film, Rajiv says, “Varsha, who works in a beauty parlour becomes a witness to the fraudulent side of the medical industry. How the hero, who is an auto driver, comes to her rescue forms the rest the movie. I have created my lead character in the film like my mentor created a powerful role of an auto driver in Baasha. I am confident Sathuran will become a huge hit.”
