13 Telangana farmers end lives over crop failure
Hyderabad: Thirteen more farmers committed suicide in Telangana on Friday by consuming pesticide, hanging themselves or jumping into wells and tanks, due to indebtedness and crop failure.
While four suicides were reported from Nalgonda district, there were three suicides in Adilabad district, two each in Mahabubnagar and Karimnagar and one each in Warangal and Medak districts respectively.
In Nalgonda, the deceased were identified as 40-year old woman farmer Nenavath Kamili of Devarakonda mandal, Gandikota Srinu, 36, of Chandampeta mandal, Surkanti Balamani, 45, of Choutuppal mandal and Bandaru Ram Red-dy, 35, of Valigonda mandal.
In Adilabad, Dasari Bhumaiah, 55, and Kale Vishwanath, 52, of Boath mandal committed suicide. In Mahbu-bnagar, K. Hanmanthu, 46, of Dhanwada and Srinivas Reddy, 45, of Gopalpet ended their lives.
