Asaram row: Kids ‘forced to learn’ Asaram teachings

Raipur: A circular issued by local education authority directing heads of all schools in Chhattisgarh’s south Bastar district of Kondagaon to cooperate in organising a competition among students from class three to eight to test their knowledge on spiritually, has stirred a controversy here.

However, students and parents have lodged a complaint with the district authorities concerned alleging that books with Asaram Bapu figuring in the cover page, have been distributed among the pupils to prepare them for the competitive examination. The books highlighted his teachings.
