Dadri incident an outcome of hardline forces: Prakash Karat
'Hardline forces are growing in the country under the patronage of the central govt'
Banda: CPI(M) leader Prakash Karat has charged that the Dadri incident was an outcome of growth of hardline forces under the patronage of the central government.
Addressing a function at Badokhar Khurd village on Friday, Karat alleged that these forces were targeting Muslims by spreading canard in the name of cow slaughter through polarisation in the society.
"Hardline forces are growing in the country under the patronage of the central government. They (hardline forces) are creating polarisation in the society and targeting Muslims by spreading canard in the name of cow slaughter," he alleged.
"Lynching of Iqlakh in Dadri is an outcome of this," he added.
Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign visits, Karat said, "These innumerable visits will not bring foreign investment. Work has to be done on internal progress of the country."
Cornering BJP on black money, he accused it of dilly-dallying the issues involving thousands of crores of rupees.
On Bihar elections, the CPM leader said, "BJP wants to get power by luring in the name of scooties and laptops, whereas discussion should be to resolve issues like agriculture, industrialisation, unemployment, law and order."
