82 drunken drivers held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic have booked as many as 82 drunk drivers during the daytime between October 1 and 3. The tests were conducted between 2 pm and 5 pm.
The police, reportedly, conducted the tests based on the movement of cars of the drunk drivers on busy roads. Two bikers, who were nabbed by the city cops on Saturday, had 339 mg/ 100 ml concentration of alcohol in their blood. An autorickshaw driver was also booked with a BAC of 246 mg/100 ml.
The normal blood/alcohol concentration while driving should be below 30 mg / 100ml, the police said.
“The drunk drivers will be counselled to ensure their safety. The day-time checks will continue,” said Additional CP Traffic Jitender in an official release.
