KT Rama Rao says CM’s family from Nizamabad
Mr Rama Rao said their grandfather was a native of Moinpet of Mustabad mandal
NIZAMABAD: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao said their family had migrated from Konapur in Domakonda mandal of Nizamabad district to Chintamadaka in Siddipet mandal of Medak a few decades ago. “We have roots in Nizamabad district since the Nizam era” he said.
Speaking in Bibipet, Domakonda, on Friday, Mr Rama Rao said their grandfather was a native of Moinpet of Mustabad mandal in Karimnagar district and came to Posanipally village near Domakonda to live with his in-laws.
The minister said Posanipally was submerged by the water of the Upper Manair Dam. The resettlement village was renamed Konapur, where the family lived for some time. After disposing all their all assets in Konapur, the Kalvakuntla family migrated to Chintamadaka village in Siddipet mandal, he explained.
“If our family had continued to reside in Konapur, the CM would have been elected as Kamareddy MLA instead of Siddipet,” Mr Rama Rao said.
