CPI stages protest against AP government for price rise

CPI said that the poor and even the middle class are unable to bear the burden

Vijayawada: The Communist Party of India on Monday staged protest against Centre and Andhra Pradesh government on the issue of rising prices.

The party demanded that both the Central and state governments must take measures to check spiralling prices of essential commodities.

CPI state secretary for Andhra Pradesh K Rama Krishna said, "Both state and Centre failed to check the rising prices of essential commodities."

He said that the poor and even the middle class are unable to bear the burden (of price rise).

Among others, local CPI leaders D Shankar and Durga Bhavani were present on the occasion.
