Credit rating is crucial to attract investment in the state bonds

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Sunday said that premier credit rating agency ICRA has given a better credit rating to its bonds than the one received during the combined AP.

“ICRA has accorded 'A' credit rating to the Telangana (bonds). This shows the strong financial situation of the state government," said a press note issued by the CM office.

Credit rating is crucial to attract investment in the state bonds as it indicate the issuer’s repayment capacity. Instruments  with the ‘A’ rating are considered to have adequate degree of safety regarding timely servicing of financial obligations.
