Karnataka, on the other hand, had to remain satisfied with only a point in their account.

However, that was not the only ordeal the visiting team had to go through. On the final day of the game, the team members had to reach ground by auto rickshaws as the team bus did not arrive at the hotel on Sunday.

It is learnt that the Karnataka team management were left with no other option as the bus that would have taken them to the venue did not arrive till 7.30 a.m..

Barsapara Cricket Stadium, where the match was played, was approximately 5 kilometers away from the team hotel.

According to reports, the situation arose due to miscommunication from Assam Cricket Association officials.

The comedy of errors did not end there as Vinay Kumar was taken to the football stadium by rickshaw driver before dropping him at the match venue.

Expressing regret over the incident and the miscommunication, the Assam Cricket Association reimbursed the fare.
