Thiruvananthapuram: The Medical Council of India has granted 60 seats for seven PG courses of the Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College.

Medical College principal Dr Thomas Mathew said in a statement that five seats were allotted for MS (ENT), 24 for MS (General Surgery), three for MD (Physical Medicine), four for MS (Anatomy), six for MD (Community Medicine) and 18 for MD (General Medicine).

The MCI had cancelled recognition of these courses earlier owing to insufficient faculty and infrastructure.
