‘Powerful’ remake of Thani Oruvan?

After the huge success of the recent Tamil release Thani Oruvan directed Mohan Raja starring Arvind Swamy, Nayanthara and Jayam Ravi, the movie is creating quite a furore with Ram Charan Teja opting to play the lead in its upcoming Telugu remake. Sources in Gandhinagar reveal that Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar is being approached to play the protagonist in the probable Kannada remake of the movie. However, the actor is yet to confirm. He is presently busy with Duniya Suri’s Dodmane Huduga and Chakravyuha.

Even Bollywood star Salman Khan seems to be amused by Thani Oruvan, as he reportedly bought the rights of the film for the Hindi remake. It is learnt that Salman’s team liked the plot-driven film, and after careful consideration, they suggested that he acquire the rights of a remake. Thani Oruvan revolves around a cop on a mission to expose corrupt persons.
