ChennaiRelatives of a victim now battling for her life in Kingdom Hospital in Riyadh approached the Vellore collector seeking state intervention to rescue her from Saudi Arabia. 
 
Narrating the story of the Indian worker being harshly treated, Vijaya Kumari, sister of the victim Kasthuri (56), said her sister, a resident of Mungileri village near Katpadi,  went to Saudi to work as a maid two months ago.  
 
“My sister had revealed during a local inspection by Saudi officials that she was being treated badly by her employer. This irked her employer and her right arm was allegedly chopped.
 
She is now under treatment and we want to bring her back,” Vijayakumari said. “We are also planning to petition the Chief Minister’s cell on Wednesday,” Vijayakumari told DC.
