KOZHIKODE: Muslim Educational Society  president, Dr. P.A. Fasal Gafoor has alleged that the UDF government was giving over-prominence to various caste leaders.

“The LDF vote bank in the state is intact and the present BJP-SNDP bonhomie will  not  break it,” he told reporters.

“The fear being created by Vellapally Natesan in the name of minority appeasement is false. There is no such  minority appeasement in the state,” he said.

Mr Gafoor alleged that Mr Natesan was  against giving reservation for the financially backward among forward castes in PG courses.

“The SNDP leader is crying that no colleges of SNDP had been given autonomous status. That is because those colleges have not got NACC accreditation. This has nothing to do with ignoring the SNDP,” he said.

He ridiculed the BJP saying that soon the party would realise that Mr Natesan’s role  in the state was  exaggerated.

He  added that Mr M.A. Baby was the best education minister of Kerala.
