Akbaruddin Owaisi's speech against poll code, say Police

AIMIM legislator has been charged under Section 153 (A) and 188 of IPC

Patna: Senior All India Majlis–e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader and an MLA from Telangana State Akbaruddin Owaisi has landed into fresh trouble for giving hate speech against PM Narendra Modi.

Bihar police has received an order to arrest the AIMIM leader. According to Kishanganj police, the AIMIM legislator has been charged under Section 153 (A) and 188 of IPC.

Section 153 (A) deals with promoting enmity between different groups on the basis of religion, place of birth, residence, language and acts which can spoil the harmony. Police said, “His speech amounts to violation of model code of conduct.”

The AIMIM, which recently released a list of six candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections, is contesting from all the four districts from the Seemanchal region of the state.
