HyderabadDirector general of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Mr A.K. Khan, said on Wednesday that reports received from the Forensic Science Lab regarding evidences of the cash-for-vote case supported the case. He, however, said that they were anticipating more key reports in connection with case.

Mr Khan said that ACB’s special investigating team was probing the case continuously. “The reports already received are supporting the case. They are being authenticated. But comparison of voices has to be done scientifically.  Few reports are yet to be received,” he explained.

“Usually, ACB focuses on sensational cases. The pace of investigation is high in the initial stages of high profile cases. But the pace slows down in the later stages. When you get into minute details, the process of investigation gets delayed. That’s what happening with this case. We are in the stage of collecting micro details and accumulating of evidences gathered so far. A majority of the reports have been received from FSL. However, some more reports are yet to come from the lab,” he explained. The ACB chief also said that they were planning to achieve a 90 per cent conviction rate in all cases.
