Nani reprises Dulquer in Mani Ratnam’s next?

Actor Nani has replaced Dulquer Salmaan in Mani Ratnam’s yet to be titled Tamil-Telugu bilingual that features Karthi, Nithya Menen and Keerthy Suresh in important roles. It is probably because Dulquer has back-to-back projects till next year that he might not be a part of this flick. 

 

It is rumoured that some time ago, Nani met Mani Ratnam at his office and signed on the dotted line. Initially, there were reports that the film would start shooting in December, and only a couple of weeks ago, Mani Ratnam had decided to make the project a bilingual.

 

Sources further add that owing to the delay in this project, Mani had no option other than roping in someone in place of Dulquer, who is quite occupied with Malayalam films. Apparently, Dulquer walked out of Mani’s project to make himself available for actor-filmmaker Pratap Pothen’s next yet-untitled Malayalam film and is currently busy with Rajeev Ravi’s upcoming untitled flick. We hear that Mani is searching for a co-producer for the Telugu version of this film, which is touted to be a revenge drama.
