Chiru sir’s compliment is unforgettable: Rakul Preet Singh
Rakul Preet Singh on Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi and the numbers game
Rakul Preet Singh, who is playing a graphic designer in Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee, says, “I play Ria, a graphic designer who creates a game on Ram Charan, who is a stunt master.”
There are quite a few dance sequences in the film and Rakul says, “It’s not an easy task to match Charan. He is really a good dancer and he comes straight to the sets without rehearsals. I had to practise for two-three days before joining him in the shoot, so that I could keep up with him.”
“The music is good and once you start listening to the songs, you don’t get tired. So I didn’t have a problem completing the shoot,” says Rakul about shooting for two nights continuously for a song.
Talking about Chiranjeevi’s special appearance in the film, she says, “I closely watched him when he worked. His dedication towards his work, his behaviour and punctuality has got him to this level. All of us have so much to learn from him. He was always there before the scheduled time and he wished everyone on the sets.”
“After watching a song, he complimented me saying I looked gorgeous and also said that he liked my performance. Those words were like a dream for me,” adds the actress.
This film is memorable for her not only because of Chiranjeevi but also because Shah Rukh Khan visited the sets.
Talking about her remuneration hike, she laughs and says, “Nothing wrong in it as everyone gets promotions, so I too got a promotion in my job.”
She adds that she doesn’t believe in the number game. “I like to work hard and complete my films one after the other. I always feel that I compete with myself. I am blessed to have worked in big-budget films at an early stage of my career,” she says.
The actress says that apart from Bruce Lee, she is also busy with an Allu Arjun film and with Nannaki Prematho with Jr NTR.
