TRS responsible for suicides: Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy
Mr Reddy questioned CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao about the promises
Warangal: The TRS government is trying to escape from owning up the responsibility of farmers’ suicides by blaming past governments, said Congress senior leader Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy. “Even though the state government keeps saying all is well with the farmers in the state, no section of the public is happy with the ruling of the TRS government. Is it not true that they have asked farmers not to grow paddy as they will not be able to supply power to the crops? The farmers are discouraged. This is the condition in the state after 15 months of their rule and they are blaming the previous government for this.”
He demanded the state government to specify what they have done for the farmers all these months. He challenged the TRS ministers and MLAs tour in rural areas without police escort. He said they will know then how the people are feeling about them.
Mr Reddy questioned Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao about the promises made before the elections pointing out that 12 per cent reservation to minorities and tribals, job notifications, Aasara pensions and the G+1 houses have remained mere promises.
He appealed to people of all walks of life to join the bandh called by all the Opposition parties against the TRS government. Errabelli Swarna and others were present.
