When Trisha became the ‘Nayaki’ during her shooting schedule
A source from the film unit says that Trisha was surprised at the well-behaved crowd
Over a thousand people from the nearby villages in Zaheerabad, a town on the border of Telangana and Karnataka, gathered to get a glimpse of actress Trisha, who was present there on a four-day schedule on the sets to shoot her bilingual Nayaki, a retro horror-comedy. A source from the film unit says that Trisha was surprised at the well-behaved crowd. “There were only ten people who had to control the whole crowd. We think it’s the first time that the film crew had gone to a place where the whole crowd was so disciplined! People did not try to gatecrash; they were just present there to watch the shoot and Trisha,” the source added.
It’s being said that nearly 60 per cent of the film has been finished and soon the team will begin a month-long schedule in Hyderabad, where many portions of the film were shot. Starring Poonam Kaur, Ganesh Venkatraman, Jayaprakash, Satyam Rajesh, Brahmanandam, Sentrayan and others in its star cast, Nayaki features Trisha playing the role of an aspiring actress, with a 80s look. It will also mark the debut of Trisha’s singing career as the actress croons a three-minute promo song.
