Twenty-two members of the club embarked on an exciting trip to solely take photographs

Early hours of Saturday saw the enthusiastic members of the Hyderabad Digital Photography Club (HDPC) along with the founder and organiser Ram Nagesh Naidu  set out on a journey — a photography trip to Laknavaram lake, Ramappa Temple, 1,000 Pillar Temple, etc.

Travelling over 200 km, the team reached their first stop, Laknavaram Lake. The huge lake encased between beautiful landscape did not require any additional invite for the shutter bugs to start doing what they love.

Laknavaram is most beautiful during the monsoons when the lake is replenished and the islands emerge refreshed. Laknavaram is a spectacularly large lake near Warangal with 13 islands that are interspersed through the body of her waters.

This lake is a great destination for photography, nature lovers, birding, kayaking and camping. One would be surprised to find this beautiful place in Telangana as the entire Govindaraopet mandal has extensive paddy fields and canals with a true pastoral beauty.

After treating themselves to a scrumptious  lunch at the Telangana Tourism canteen, the team then headed to Ramappa Temple, the 13th century architectural beauty of the Kakatiya empire.

A shift from nature to architecture provided a good learning experience which was further enhanced in the next stop at 1,000 Pillar Temple. As evening drew near the team set out on their journey back home which required another stop in between to explore the Light trials on the Highway.
