Beef feast to condemn meat ban

Tiruchy: Volunteers of various organisations and political parties including the Indian National League,(INL), Tamilaga Valvuurimai Katchi, Tamilaga Makkal Jananayaga Katchi, Dravidar Kazhagam, Athitamilar Vidhuthalai Katchi, Marumalarchi Makkal Katchi and Facebook friends organised a mega beef feast here on Sunday, under the banner of “En Unavu-En Urimai” in which hundreds of persons took part.

According to A Kaleel, INL’s Tiruchy district chief, his party coordinated the feast. He said that it was organised to condemn the Dadri lyching incident, besides reiterating to all that consumption of food is an individual’s right and nobody should interfere with it.
