Guntur: Allegations flew thick over ‘rising’ blood sugar of YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on the fifth day of his fast on Sunday in Guntur. Addressing a press meet here, AP health minister Dr K. Srinivas said that the fasting leader’s sugar level went up from 59 to 83 in the evening.
He said an inquiry would be ordered into the sugar level and health of Mr Reddy. TD leaders immediately raised questions on the genuineness of the fast. YSRC leaders then brought new equipment and found that the sugar level stood at 77.
YSRC leaders went to Guntur Government Hospital and criticised the doctors there for using an old equipment that showed wrong results. The sugar levels are dropping, they said.
