Salman allegedly told the singer that he doesn't need anyone to playback for him. This sudden rebuke not only surprised Sonu but also shocked the audiences present at the show.
It is believed that things got heated up to a level that there was a fun segment that was to be shot between Sonu and Salman, but it had to be cancelled.

It is a known fact that Sonu and Salman don't get along well ever since the former's song was chopped off from Khan's 'Kick'. Earlier too they had an argument were Salman said that singers don't deserve more weightage as the actor can sing for himself. On the other hand, Sonu explained that singing is a matter of commitment.

However, Sonu Nigam rubbished these reports and clarified on Twitter, "Nothing of sort of what has been reported , happened guys. Salman was very gracious that night.. Don't know who cooked up this story."
