LDF manifesto: Anti-graft steps, safe city priority

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF on Tuesday came out with a mega election manifesto promising to set up a vigilance special cell headed by a SP rank officer to curb the corruption of corporation officials.

The 18 page manifesto was released by CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan at LDF convention at the Putharikandam maidan.

The LDF promised a mobile based service delivery system for all services rendered by the corporation.

A file monitoring system would be put in place to expedite work in the office and to ensure timely completion of the tasks.

Safe city programme will implemented to ensure the safety residents particularly women and children. To deal with the complaints relate to other departments, an on-line complaints registration system will be implemented.

In order to promote alternative sources of energy, the Thiruvananthapuram will be turned into Solar City. All parks will be modernised, primary schools will be made smart schools, skill development centres will be set up.
