Aanand Rai, Shah Rukh Khan to do look test next month

There has been a lot of speculation about Aanand L. Rai’s next project that reportedly requires the lead actor to play a dwarf. It was earlier learnt that Rai had approached Salman Khan for the role after which he had talks with Shah Rukh Khan. This was during the release of Rai’s film Tanu Weds Manu Returns. They had then discussed the project at length and Shah Rukh had unofficially given the film a nod. We now hear that SRK’s team is wrapping up the last-minute formalities with Rai.

Says a source, “Rai’s team is working on the pre-production of the film and the look test is expected to happen in Mumbai next month. SRK is currently busy shooting Dilwale but he has committed to giving time to Rai’s film next month.

“They’ve been in talks all these months and things are going as planned.”

Though the details about the project are not revealed yet, it will be interesting to see how Aanand L. Rai pulls off the task of showing Shah Rukh as a dwarf.  “He has studied this and he knows how to execute it. SRK’s studio is also brainstorming with Rai on this,” added the source.

As for the leading lady, it will most likely be Katrina Kaif — a repeat of the Jab Tak Hai Jaan pairing.
