Mumbai: Rohit Shetty has brilliantly managed to keep the story line of ‘Dilwale’ under wraps. While there have been several pictures and videos that have found their way on social networking sites, nothing about the characters has been established.
According to a report in 9XE, Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of a charming car modifier in the film. Rohit Shetty, who is known for his larger than life action sequences, might just be at it again with this film that hits theatres this December.
Shah Rukh and his fascination for automobiles is known, the actor will be seen re-modeling cars. This is the sole reason why plenty of vintage cars have been spotted on the film’s sets all throughout the shoot. While some of these cars will feature in chase sequences that may or may not end in a few crashes, the others will feature in a song sequence.
SRK's character in 'Dilwale' draws inspiration from three avenues. The fascination for cars comes from Ashok Kumar's character in 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi'. Whereas, car modifier aspect was inspired from Dilip Chhabria, a renowned expert in the field, who has also designed vanity vans for Shah Rukh Khan.
On the other hand, Varun Dhawan will be playing the role of Shah Rukh’s younger brother. Apparently, the father-like elder brother aspect of the character has been sketched on the lines of Amitabh Bachchan's part in ‘Hum’.
