Couple held for 'forcibly employing' minor girl in Gurgaon
Police said they got info from a neighbour, who heard the girl screaming
Gurgaon: A 15-year-old girl, "forcibly employed" as maid at a house here, has been rescued by Gurgaon police following which the accused couple was arrested on Thursday.
The victim, hailing from Jharkhand, was employed by an agency couple of days back at Krishna Colony and was rescued yesterday, Assistant Commissioner of Police Hawa Singh said.
Sagar, who works as a consultant in a private company, and his wife have been arrested for forcibly employing the girl, Singh said adding that they got the information from a neighbour who heard the girl screaming in the locked house.
However, no written complaint has been registered by the victim and she would be sent to the women shelter home, he said adding that medical examination has shown minor bruises on her body.
