Physiotherapist accuses techie of rape

Hyderabad: A physiotherapist has alleged that she was raped by a software employee, her neighbour, over the last few months.

 

The victim, who also claimed to have contracted a sexually transmitted disease from him, said that he had threatened to kill her four-year-old daughter if she did not have sex with him.

 

The 30-year-old victim, a physiotherapist at a private hospital in Rajendranagar, lives on the first floor and the accused, Manoj, a software engineer working at Hitec City, lives on the second floor of the same apartment.

 

The victim alleged that in May, Manoj had raped her at his house after mixing knockout drugs in her water. He had raped her again in August in a similar manner. 

 

“Recently, he started exploiting her again and was forcing her to have sexual intercourse with him. He even threatened to kill her daughter if she did not agree.” said Rajendranagar inspector V. Umender.

 

When she did not agree, he continued to threaten her. 

In her complaint, the victim stated that she had also contracted a sexually transmitted disease from Manoj.

 

“We sent her for medical examination. We are verifying the details of her complaint.” added the Inspector.

 

A rape case under Section 376 is being registered and police has launched a manhunt to nab Manoj.
