Statue of APJ Abdul Kalam to be installed at ANU

Guntur: Acharya Nagarjuna University would install a statue of former president of India late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on Thursday.

 

Announcing the installation of Kalam's statue, university rector K.R.S. Sambasiva Rao informed that a foundation stone for synthetic athletic track, fitness centre with sports science backup and CBR weightlifting centre for excellence would also be established. He informed that they would also inaugurate the newly constructed university main gate.

 

Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao and ministers Ganta Srinivas Rao, Prathipati Pulla Rao, Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, Ravela Kishore Babu and other important dignitaries would participate in the programme.
