Three TDP leaders held captive by Maoists released
Maoists had warned the leaders to quit TDP and join anti-bauxite mining agitations
Hyderabad: Ending the suspense over the fate the three Telugu Desam Party leaders, Maoists released the three TDP leaders they had abducted from GK Veedhi area in Vizag Agency at midnight on Wednesday.
The three TDP leaders Mamidi Balayya Padal, Vandalam Balayya and Mukkala Mahesh of GK Veedhi area, were kidnapped by the Maoists as they were suspected of being supporters of bauxite mining.

According to sources, the trio was interrogated by the naxals at a praja court held in AOB area and the rebels released the trio after warning them to quit TDP and join in anti-bauxite mining agitations. The trio were released at Chitrakonda area in AOB and they trio reached their hometowns on Thursday morning.
"All three leaders have reached their homes at 5 AM today," Visakhapatnam District Superintendent of Police K Pravin said.
Maoists through their network had asked the three TDP men to meet them at Dharkonda in the district and on assurance that they will not be harmed, the TDP leaders went to meet them but were held captive, the SP had earlier said.
