Lucknow: The All Temple Management Association (ATMA) will soon come into being and will take over the campaign for all major temple disputes in the country.

ATMA, the proposal for which is under active consideration, will not be known for the presence of saints, seers, VHP and BJP activists.

It will be an association of eminent persons from different walks of life, particularly, those who are not directly identified with the BJP or the VHP.

According to a source, the driving force behind ATMA is the RSS but without making its presence visible.

“The RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is drawing up the blue print for ATMA because he feels that other outfits associated with the Ram temple movement have outlived their utility and also lost their credibility.

“The new organization will include eminent persons from different walks of life like doctors, bureaucrats, teachers and management experts who will work for the protection, preservation and promotion of temples in the country,” the source said.

The move to form ATMA is also being seen as an attempt to sideline the VHP which has ‘become an embarrassment for the BJP and its government’.

Interestingly, Mohan Bhagwat was in Lucknow on Wednesday and spent considerable time at IIM-Lucknow. This was his first visit to a management institute and though he refused to interact with the media, he met around two dozen people, handpicked for interaction by his team.
