20 year old held for raping class 10 girl in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 20-year-youth who all-egedly raped a Class X st-udent, his neighbour, was arrested from his house by Santoshnagar police on Friday. 

 

Syed Mubasheer, a resident of Pandit Nehrunagar in Edi Bazaar of Santoshnagar area. He returned from Dubai three months ago. The 15-year-old victim and the accused are said to be close family friends.

 

The victim, who used to go to Mubasheer’s house regularly, was raped on Tuesday when she went to his house. The accused was produced before the court on Friday.

 

"He forcefully took her into his bedroom on the first floor of their house and sexually assaulted her," said Santoshnagar ACP V. Srinivasulu. Fearing threat from the victim's family, Mubasheer fled from home.

 

A case was registered against Mubasheer. Police, who kept a vigil near his home, apprehended him on Friday morning.
