Delhi minor gangrape: Court sends three men to 14-day judicial custody
Victim's statement is yet to be recorded before a magistrate under section 164 of the CrPC
New Delhi: Three persons, arrested for allegedly gangraping a five-year-old girl yesterday, were on Saturday remanded in 14-day judicial custody by Delhi court.
Additional Sessions Judge Pulastya Pramachala sent the three accused to judicial custody till October 31 after they were produced in the court by the Delhi Police.
The police told the court that Prakash, Sitaram and Rewati who were allegedly under the influence of intoxicants gangraped the minor girl last evening in Anand Vihar area of east Delhi.
It said the victim, who sustained severe injuries to her private parts, has been admitted to GTB Hospital.

Police said as the victim is in hospital, her statement is yet to be recorded before a magistrate under section 164 of the CrPC.
The accused were caught by the locals after they heard the cries of the girl. They were thrashed by the people and later handed over to police.
A case has been registered against them under relevant Sections of IPC and POCSO at Anand Vihar Police Station.
