New Delhi: Further fuelling the verbal war in the ongoing Bihar polls, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the drop in Indian exports for 10 straight months, saying that instead of promising 'Acche Din', the return of 'Purane Din' (Old days) would be appreciated.

"The Indian export has hit an all time low this year after its decline for 10 months. Modi ji, forget Acche Din, just give us back our Purane Din," Nitish tweeted.

India's merchandise exports declined for the tenth straight month in September, by 24.3% to $21.84 billion compared to a year earlier, indicating weak global demand for the country's products.

Imports also fell 25.4% to $32.33 billion in September, according to the official data released on Thursday.
