Chennai: AIADMK general secretary and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa urged cadres to start working for the party’s victory in a big way in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
In a letter Friday to the party cadres on the eve of the party’s 44th anniversary, Ms Jayalalithaa said she had to face several challenges and conspiracies plotted to obliterate AIADMK after the demise of the party founder M.G. Ramachandran. “I had been taking on tribulations with determination to keep the party’s light shining and working for the people of Tamil Nadu. I don’t have a personal life and expectations, I am here for the party and people. I have been thinking every second about party and the works to be done for the people,” she said.
Pointing out that peoples’ happiness was her ambition, she said that peoples’ development and prosperity was her target. “We have been celebrating our party’s anniversary with a satisfaction of having done a lot of good things to the people. We are also rejoicing the grand success of the global investors meet, which facilitated an investment of Rs 2,42,160 crore into the state and start new companies in the state,” she said.
The party’s general secretary also urged party cadres to reach out to the people and inform them about the achievements of her government and make AIADMK record a historic victory in the ensuing Assembly polls.
