Guntur: Realtors have started doing business with the ‘to be distributed’ reconstituted plots before the distribution of those plots. The realtors have prepared detailed maps showing the area of reconstituted plots in various villages of the capital region and luring the public to get a chance to live in the new capital Amaravati.

Interestingly, the APCRDA did not officially reveal the area of the reconstituted plots till now, but on the condition of anonymity the realtors are claiming of having total information and asking the public to settle in the new capital by purchasing reconstituted plots. The CRDA has pooled 34,000 acre of farmland from 21,500 farmers of the 29 villages of the capital region.

The CRDA has to return nearly 10,000 acres of lands as reconstituted plots to the donor farmers. The CRDA released capital plan, capital master plan and seed area capital master plan. The farmers several times have asked ministers and CRDA officials about the allotment of reconstituted plots.

Minister for municipal administration, P. Narayana, who is looking after LPS and other matters of the capital region, assured about allocation of reconstituted plots near the village within one or two km radius.

Neither Mr Narayana nor CRDA informed about the exact location of the reconstituted places for 29 villages. But interestingly the realtors, agents and developers got all the information and have started purchase and sales of plots, which are likely to be announced as reconstituted plots soon by CRDA.

The Amaravati Government Core is proposed in Lingayapalem, Amaravati Downtown is proposed in Uddandarayunipalem and Amaravati Gateway is proposed in Tallayapalem and interestingly three villages were situated on the banks of river Krishna.

The realtors have targeted the trio Uddandarayunipalem, Tallayapalem, and Lingayapalem and further adjacent Velagapudi and Mandadam for the purchase/sales of reconstituted plots.

Farmers of Uddandarayunipalem, N. Subba Rao and others said that realtors are asking them to sell the ‘to be reconstituted plots’ but they are in dilemma how they got the location of reconstituted plots as CRDA till now has not informed about the plots area.

They added that the real estate agents are showing them maps with marking of location for the reconstituted plots.  They demanded the CRDA to officially announce the locations.
