KC (M) legislator P. C. George is all smiles as he greets Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who emerges after deposing before the inquiry committee, appointed by Speaker N. Sakthan to probe Chief Whip Thomas Unniyadan's complaint to disqualify George
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and KPCC chief V.M. Sudheeran on Saturday severely criticised Mr P.C. George MLA for his anti-UDF stand and activities while he was in the front.

They were  deposing before Speaker N. Sakthan in connection with the KC(M) complaint seeking his disqualification as MLA. They alleged that Mr George had fielded his own candidate for the Aruvikkara by-election.

Even after repeated warnings, Mr George had worked against the UDF and created a dent in its  image.  While being a part of UDF, he had fielded  a candidate against the ruling front.

Therefore, they demanded that the anti-defection law be applied against him. Mr Sudheeran  alleged that Mr George had  been raising baseless allegations against ministers.

Congress MLA T. N. Prathapan also deposed before the committee.  The next sitting of the inquiry committee will be held on October  26.
