KOZHIKODE: Ms K.K. Rema, RMP leader  and wife of the slain T.P. Chandrasekharan,  has said  Mr V.S. Achuthanandan  is a ‘leader of compromises’. Speaking to the media at Vadakara here, she said that VS had backtracked on his ideals.

“Chandrasekharan was the follower of the politics that VS  once stood for. He came out of the CPM and formed RMP with the  same political cause, which was initiated by Achuthanandan,” Ms Rema said.

She  lambasted the UDF government for its insincerity in handing over the TP case  to the CBI.  “UDF had sabotaged the CBI inquiry. BJP too was reluctant to pursue a  CBI probe. If any of the  ruling parties had  an iota of honesty, the case would have been handed over to the CBI,” she said.

She claimed that RMP would open its account in Kerala Assembly in the polls  next year. “The trend of UDF taking electoral gains out of the presence of RMP will end soon,” she said.
