Telangana artists sketch their canvas for Amaravati

Vijayawada: The first-of-its-kind art show by artists from Telangana started in the city on Saturday as the artists picked up their brushes to contribute for AP’s capital Amaravati.

Andhra Pradesh communication adviser Prakala Prabhakar inaugurated the show ‘Art Beyond Boundaries’ by signing his autograph at the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Prabhakar thanked the artists from Telangana for coming forward to support AP capital. Mr Prabhakar said that Amaravati will have sophisticated art galleries.

Artists  from Telangana would sketch two paintings each by October 19. One of the works by each artist would be dedicated to CCV and the other would be displayed at a city mall. Later, the paintings would be sold through auction. Nearly 13 paintings would be displayed at the auction from October 20.  The proceedings would be given to the state government for capital Amaravati.
