Hyderabad: Reliance ADAG is expected to get a final notice from the TS government soon over the revival of its proposed 100-storey tower, which was to have come up in the Financial District in Manchirevula on the city outskirts.
The government gave clear indications to this effect by issuing orders constituting a panel headed by the chief secretary to recommend a “course of action to be taken by the government”. The committee consists of four other senior officers — the special chief secretaries for finance and municipal administration and the secretaries for law and industries. The panel will also look at the Emaar Properties and Jubilee Hills Landmark Project issues.
The 100-storey tower was originally conceived by the YSR government in 2007, which allotted 76.2 acres. Reliance ADAG agreed to pay Rs 527 crore, but paid only half the amount. The firm is now seeking waiver of the remaining amount to revive the project.
