Woman drugged and raped on premises of DBR mills
The duo escaped after dropping the victim at her house early in the morning
Hyderabad: A 24-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by one of her relatives and his friend on the premises of the famous DBR mills on Friday midnight.
The girl alleged that the duo drugged her and forcefully took her to the closed down mill when she came out with one of the accused to go to her sister's house.
Police identified the two people as Mohammed Osman and his friend Piyush as the suspects. Both are residents of Ramnagar and are autorickshaw drivers.
The duo escaped after dropping the victim at her house early in the morning. According to the police, Osman is the brother-in-law of the victim. Osman had promised to take her to her sister’s house in his autorickshaw on Friday night. However, on the way, Osman allegedly gave her a cool drink mixed with drugs.
“On the way Piyush also got into the autorikshaw. They drove to the DBR mill premises and went to a deserted area inside with the victim. After raping her they dropped her back home,” said a police official from Musheera-bad.
The victim in her complaint said that she could not raise an alarm as she was drugged. After reaching home she told her parents and then came to the police station to lodge a complaint.
“We have booked a case of rape and have launched a search for the perpetrators,” said an investigation official. The victim was sent for medical examination by the police.
