Namakkal: The CB-CID probing the Dalit youth Gokulraj's murder has been given two more days' custody of the main accused in the case, S.Yuvaraj, who head a communal outfit, Dheeran Chinnamalai Gounder Peravai.

The Namakkal Magistrate, S.Malarmathi, who had earlier granted five-day custody of Yuvaraj to the CB-CID police, gave an additional two days of custody to the state police. The police have reportedly seized two cars allegedly used by Yuvaraj during the murder.

In what is perceived to be a ghastly case of honour killing, the Dalit engineering graduate Gokulraj who was in love with an upper caste Gounder girl was murdered and his body was flung on the railway platform near Tiruchengode.

The main accused Yuvaraj went absconding and in a tragic turn, the key investigating officer and the Tiruchengode DSP, R. Vishnupriya hanged herself to death at her official residence on September 18, following reports of intense harassment from senior police officers. Amid strident demand for a CBI probe, the state government ordered CB-CID probe into the Dalit youth's murder and the police officer's suicide.

After a 100-day run from the police, Yuvaraj who was frequently sending messages on What'sApp and Facebook, surrendered before the police last Sunday.
