Mouli roped in for Prabhu’s film
Vinodhan has Vedhika playing a 60-year-old woman in some segments of the film
It was recently reported that actresses Vedhika and Salony Luthra would be part of debutante Victor Jayaraj’s film Vinodhan, produced by Prabhu Deva. Touted to be a dark psycho-emotional drama based on the medical condition Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, the latest to join the cast is veteran director-writer-playwright-theatre artiste Mouli.
Speaking to DC, Victor says, “Mouli plays an important role in the film and I am blessed to direct a senior actor like him. When I told him the story, he was impressed by the role offered to him. The hero of the film is in depression and his friends want to help him recoup. So, they take him to Mouli, who transforms his life. So far, he hasn’t acted in this kind of a role. The best compliment is that when his part was wrapped up, Mouli sir said it has been long time since he acted in an intelligent film.”
Vinodhan has Vedhika playing a 60-year-old woman in some segments of the film. Varun and comedian Jagan as of now play pivotal roles in the film, and rumours are abuzz that it will also have Rohini and Evam Karthik Kumar too in important roles. Victor adds that around 20 days of shoot has been completed and the team had extensive rehearsals before the shoot.
