Gautam’s back on the small screen

The winner of the previous season of Bigg Boss, Gautam Gulati will now be seen hosting MTV’s Big F. However, the actor who has signed a three-film deal with Balaji, says the TV project is a one-off thing. “I had a break in between my film commitments. I just got done with a month long London schedule for a Balaji film. When MTV approached me for Big F, I liked the concept and I also felt people would relate to the show, which is about the fantasies of youngsters,” Gautam told us.

The promotions of the show depicted Gautam kissing a co-actor. Was that a publicity stunt? “In the show, there is no stripping and I’m not kissing anybody. It is shown that the girl fantasises about kissing me. So as of now, (there’s nothing between us) but you never know, aage jake meri girlfriend bane ya biwi bane.”

With a new season of Bigg Boss starting up again, what advice does Gautam have for the contestants? “It is tough to stay in that house so I suggest people should just be themselves,” he says.

Of his future plans, Gautam says, “I want to do a solo film but I’m waiting for the right project. I’ve realised that just signing any random film isn’t wise because sometimes it never gets a release. I’m doing Ekta ma’am’s films because she’s the reason I came to Mumbai. I was selected by her team and that’s how I got into the entertainment industry.”
