Hyderabad: Railway staff extinguish flames in train

Passengers noticed smoke coming from the side of a ceiling fan

Hyderabad: Alert railway staff extinguished flames in the second class compartment of Train 12622 New Delhi-Chennai Tamil Nadu Express between Kesamudram and Tadlapusapalli stations on Warangal-Dornakal section of SCR in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Passengers noticed smoke coming from the side of a ceiling fan of the compartment, The train was stopped between Kesamudram and Tadlapusapalli stations immediately at 22.43 pm and passengers were evacuated. The train  moved ahead till Tadlapusapalli and the railway staff there used fire extinguishers to douse the fire.
