Two brothers killed in road accident at Tandur

Hyderabad: Two brothers were killed on the spot in a road mishap at Tandur on Tuesday night when a speeding van rammed their bike. The victims, G. Ashappa, 22, and G. Lalappa, 23, hailed from the Chengol village in Tandur.

“The accident happened near Gangotri School. The van driver was negligent. He could not control the vehicle as he was speeding. The van hit the bike and both the riders fell on the road. They were injured seriously on the head and died on the spot,” said an official from the Tandur police station.

After the accident the van driver abandoned his vehicle and ran away. Both the victims were construction workers and were going home after work police said. The police booked a case under for causing death by negligence.
