Bengaluru: The struggling Hyderabad side take on hosts Saurashtra in a Group ‘C” Ranji Trophy match which begins on Thursday. Meanwhile, having announced his retirement from international cricket on Tuesday, flamboyant opener Virender Sehwag will be the main attraction as Haryana face champs Karnataka in a Group ‘A’ clash in Mysuru.
Searching for a first win after three drawn games, Karnataka skipper R. Vinay Kumar will be looking to register an outright victory against the batting line-up led by Sehwag. Sehwag, who switched to Haryana this season, has contributed 37 and a fighting 51 against his former side Delhi in his first game.
Meanwhile, Karnataka centurions Karun Nair and Samarth will be keen to continue their fine run while in-form all-rounder Shreyas Gopal will be the key for the hosts in the lower-order. Manish Pandey will also look to dominate with the bat.
