YouTube unveiled a new $10-a-month subscription plan in the US called Red

The long-awaited ad-free service of YouTube is here, and it has been named YouTube Red. The subscription is available $10-a-month plan, and it is currently exclusive to US. The service combines ad-free videos, new original series and movies from top YouTubers, and on-demand unlimited streaming music.

However, this article is aimed at warning all iOS user to not to subscribe for YouTube Red from the App Store.

You ask why? So, Apple has the option to subscribe to things right on the App Store, using existing methods of payment. Although that is super convenient, it is also expensive. For every subscription made via the App Store, Apple charges the companies 30 per cent cut of all subscriptions sold. Which means that, the $10 subscription would cost about $13 when subscribed via App Store.

Therefore, save a few bucks and go directly to YouTube on October 28 and subscribe to the new ad-free service.
