Andhra Pradesh, Japan tie up to develop industry
Naidu said that Japan would be partner in Amaravati capital city construction
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government entered an MoU with Japan here on Thursday. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Japan Ministry of Economy-Trade and Industry minister Yosuke Takagi signed the papers. AP finance department secretary P.V. Ramesh also inked agreements with Japan team partnership on capital city construction and industrial development.
On this occasion, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said that Japan would be partner in Amaravati capital city construction and it would extend its support for Urban Development, Krishnapat-nam port superpower thermal and agricultural sectors. He said that the efforts of AP government became reality on Vijayadasami and it was big day for AP.
Japan minister Yosuke Takagi said that AP would become gateway for East Asia. As per the agreement, Japan government would involve in the implementation of Amaravati master plan. Apart from this, they would also extend cooperation for Vijayawada metro rail project, Krishnapatnam port, Chennai-Bengaluru corridor and industrial development in the capital regional area. The two governments have also decided to establish Andhra Pradesh Investment Task Force. In Japan for industrial development and ministers from two sides are in the task force.
