Hyderabad: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Friday asked all political parties to come on one platform like Alai Balai for the development of the state and country. “I am very happy to see leaders of all political parties coming on one stage for Alai Balai organised by Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya. In the same spirit, leaders of all parties should work in tandem for the development of the state and the country,” he remarked.
The governor and leaders, cutting across party lines, attended the annual Dasara get-together, Alai Balai, here on Friday. Complimenting Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for coming together for the foundation stone laying ceremony of AP’s new capital Amaravati, the Governor said both CMs should also work with the same zeal for the development of the two states.
While the two CMs skipped the function due to other appointments, other leaders from both states, along with a host of artists, writers, social activists and others participated in the function that saw performances by artistes from various parts of the state. Later, the invitees were treated to Telangana cuisine.
